Any Paddy that has touched down Stateside will know that Four Loko is a big deal.
Basically, the American Buckfast is an alcohol laden drink that pretty much turns it’s consumers crazy.
Four Loko is actually a malt beverage available in multiple flavours including Fruit Punch, Watermelon and Lemonade.
The drink has been steeped in controvery.
Various products have been the object of legal, ethical, and health concerns and the company has been criticised for allegedly marketing them to the underaged. After the beverage was banned in several American states, a product reintroduction in December 2010 removed caffeine, taurine, and guarana as ingredients, and the malt beverage is no longer marketed as an energy drink.
The drink is an American staple but is also available in some parts of Asia and now some people have promised to take the canned drink to Ireland.
A Facebook page promising the arrival of the liquid hangover has popped up and already gained a massive amount of attention.
“WE'RE BRINGING FOUR LOKO TO IRELAND. It's the truth. Get excited,” they promise.
The page consists of nothing more than some promises and entertain photoshopped images. Sadly, we could not find any confirmation of the arrival of Four Loko and so we’re going to assume this is one promise likely to be broken.
