Ah the joys.

A plane full of people were left stranded on Friday, after a Ryanair flight from Krakow to Dublin was delayed and then re-routed. Among the passengers were 50 Irish university students. The group were final year UCD Science students, who were on their last group trip before finishing college. Flight FR1902 was due to take off at 3.35pm from Krakow on Friday but was delayed because of fog. Fair enough. After the first initial delay, passengers were informed that their flight would take off from Katowice Airport, around 100km away, and that a bus would take them to the airport. But according to passengers on Twitter, the bus never came to take them, and they were left stranded. Among the passengers was Cat Sawkins, who spoke to RTE about the whole experience. She said: "We were going up and knocking on bus doors and asking 'are you for the Dublin flight?', and they all said no." She said that passengers were instructed to return inside. Two more announcements were made, instructing passengers to go outside for a bus, but each time there was no bus for them. It was around 9pm, when the passengers all realised they would miss the Katowice flight back to Dublin. When a member of staff did speak to them about what had happened, Ms Sawkins said the passengers were told: "You missed your flight because you missed your bus". You would be RAGING. Despite passenger claims to the contrary, Ryanair issued a statement to say that "coaches were organised". "Ryanair sincerely apologised to all customers affected by this weather delay, which was entirely beyond our control". A Ryanair spokesperson told RTÉ News that "all customers that didn't take the flight from Katowice have been re-booked on alternative flights or refunded".
