An Irish charity has made an emergency plea for foster homes for 14 dogs, who are due to be put down this weekend.
My Lovely Horse Rescue, an organisation that rehomes unwanted, neglected and abused animals, has urged anyone interested in adopting or fostering a dog to contact them immediately.
Sharing a slide of heartbreaking photos of the animals on Twitter, it wrote: "4 dogs in a Midlands pound on death row. We have until Friday to save their lives... We have SO many dogs ready for their forever homes!"

"The pounds are currently full of dogs," co-founder Martina Kenny tells Her. "Sadly, this pound does not have the room or resources to help, so MLHR will get them all out.
"We would like to thank all the people who have offered to help. Sadly, the pound will fill up again quickly."

The organisation's website states that it needs to be careful when selecting both foster homes and forever homes for their animals as "they have been hurt once, we do not want that to happen again".
