An investigation has been launched after a woman was killed following an incident in a Dublin apartment.
The woman in her 30s was taken to St James's Hospital in the early hours of this morning after receiving a number of injuries in an apartment near Bonham Street, Dublin 8.
She was pronounced dead soon after.
A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the incident.
He is currently being detained in Kevin Street Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
The investigation is ongoing.
