Earlier this week, we told you about formerly homeless student Laura Horan who, with the help of the DCU media production society wanted to raise vital funds for those who are homeless.
Well, we are happy to share, that in 24 hours the DCU students have raised an incredible €10,000 for the Peter McVerry trust.
The DCU media production society have broadcast 24 hours of live TV to raise the much needed funds.
Some members of the society vowed to get tattooed live on air if they raised over €6000, which they surpassed earlier in the evening.

Every year the Media Production society do a 24 hour live but the money raised at this years broadcast is a record high for the event which is now in its seventh year.
The society recently produced this video in which Laura Horan shared her personal account of homelessness. It's really worth watching to understand how easily homelessness can happen.
