Successful influencer Lorna Luxe has announced her husband, banker John Andrews, has died following a battle with cancer.
Lorna took to her Instagram to share the sad news yesterday (Thursday, February 12).
Over the past year, Lorna has been very vocal about John's health journey on social media, documenting the highs and lows.
Alongside a picture of John, the statement on Instagram read: "My beautiful, brave John died yesterday.
"I am heartbroken. We were together to the very end, at home, in our own bed and holding hands, which is exactly what he wanted."
Lorna continued: "The last conversation we had, I asked him how he was feeling, and he replied "rough but in love" and that was so him, to the point and choosing to put aside his fears to make me feel cherished and loved.
"John and I were so grateful to the district nurses who came daily to support us and make him comfortable. Anna was his favourite nurse, and the kindness she showed him was beyond. She was a real-life angel.
"We couldn't have had those last few days together at home without that care and my mum, who has been with us, keeping me strong when I needed to stay strong for John. John, you are a class act, you forever."
Before John's passing, L.A-S, Lorna's luxury womenswear brand, postponed its planned Charity Sale at the Alan Hotel in Manchester, which was originally scheduled for February 7.
In her statement, she wrote: "It is with a very heavy heart that I have to share that we must unfortunately postpone our upcoming Charity Sale at The Alan Hotel in Manchester this Saturday, 7th February.
"John is currently extremely unwell, and right now it isn’t the right time for me to be away from his side. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but I know it’s the right thing to do.
"Our community has truly kept us going. I am so incredibly grateful for your kindness and support while I navigate this difficult time. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart," the post concluded.
John Andrews had been diagnosed with stage four adrenal cancer back in April 2023.
John, who was 21 years Lorna’s senior, briefly went into remission later that year, however, the cancer returned and spread to his brain in May 2024.
Lorna and John were together for almost 16 years and married on Lorna's 26th birthday.
The influencer and business mogul has expressed that her focus remains on preserving John's legacy and cherishing the time they spent together.
Friends, family, and fans have since flooded Lorna's comment section with condolences while offering their support to Lorna and her family during this difficult time.
