Minister for Agriculture and Defence Simon Coveney has been visiting homes and residents living in Clonlara in Co Clare this morning.

In better news, the weather is set to return to normal January conditions in the next few days, but areas prone to flooding will be closely monitored. The Defence Forces are also out helping residents operating pumps around the country, but there are no national weather warnings currently in place.
