On the off chance that you're spending more than 5 minutes away from the couch this weekend, here's what Met Éireann reckon the weather will be looking like.
This morning will see some bright, short and sunny spells on the east coast. It's set to be the opposite on the west coast though with wet and windy weather prevailing along the Atlantic seaboard, unfortunately, these conditions will become widespread across the western half of the country this morning and in eastern areas later this afternoon.
The rain will turn heavy and possibly thundery, with a risk of some spot flooding. Essentially, tonight is shaping up to be one where you should stay indoors.
Saturday morning will be mainly dry, with sunshine and scattered light showers in western and northern areas. It will become mainly dry on Saturday night and as the skies clear, temperatures will fall to between 3 and 5 degrees.
In the north and in the east on Sunday, showery rain will develop, although Munster and much of Connacht are likely to stay largely dry with some brighter weather.
Temperatures overnight are unlikely to fall below 7 to 12 degrees and a mild and dry night is being predicted.
