Tweets from Fadi Fawaz late last night have alleged that George Michael died by suicide on Christmas Day.

Fawaz who was romantically linked to the late singer said in a string of tweets that Michael made numerous attempts to take his own life. "The only thing George wanted is to die. He tried numbers of times to kill himself many times and finally he managed. "We loved each other very much and were together almost 24 hours a day,” wrote Fawaz. The tweets have since been deleted but screenshots of the messages were obtained by The Mirror. The account for Fadi Fawaz has been disabled.
