Gardaí in Meath stopped a 12-year-old boy that was driving a John Deere tractor in Trim town.
Members from Unit C Meath Roads Policing Unit stopped the underage driver at 00.30am this morning.
The 12-year-old was accompanied by two other boys in the cab - an eight-year-old and a 15-year-old.

Meath Crime Prevention Facebook page reads: "Members from Unit C Meath Roads Policing stopped this John Deere tractor at 00.30am this morning in Trim town. They found three boys in the cab. A 12-year-old was driving the vehicle, accompanied by a 15-year old and an eight-year-old. They were brought to Trim garda station and their parents were contacted.
"We know young farmers love driving tractors, but they have to wait until old enough to be properly licensed."
An Gardai Síochána have released a further statement to JOE on this matter.
It states: "Gardaí on patrol observed a tractor on Jonathan Swift St, Trim, Co Meath on December 1, 2019 at approximately 12.30am. The vehicle was detained for road offences. No further information is available on this matter."
