Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a toddler was injured in a hit and run in Cork.
The incident occurred yesterday, Saturday June 29, on Oliver Plunkett Street, Bandon when a passing motorist collided with a two-year-old boy.
The vehicle failed to stop and continued to drive in the direction of Bandon Fire Station.
The toddler was taken to Cork University Hospital. His injuries are not life threatening.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses of the incident, or anyone who was in the area or travelling on Oliver Plunkett Street at the time of the collision or prior to it, to come forward.
They are also appealing to motorists with dash cam footage of the incident to make it available to them.
