An orange fire warning has been issued for Ireland as the country looks set to be on the end of more warm temperatures over the coming days.
Met Eireann have promised that temperatures will rise as high as 20 degrees in some places, between now and the end of the weekend.
According to the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, the warm temperatures will increase the risk of gorse fires and fires where hazardous fuels exist.
The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine said the alert will remain in place until Monday, 21 May.
Forest owners, farmers, rural dwellers and other countryside users are asked to be extremely vigilant regarding fire activity, to report any suspicious or illegal activity to the Gardaí and to report all fires immediately to the Fire and Emergency Services via 112/999.
