According the the Independent, professor Richard Conroy said of the find: "As a result the team are excited with this additional gold zone discovery and what it means for the Clontibret project and our company as a whole."
It comes after the company announced that it was to accelerate development on Irish gold just two weeks ago.
Because of the find, "a number of development initiatives [will be set] on which we will be updating shareholders shortly."
