The Regency Hotel in Whitehall, Dublin has gone into receivership following the widely publicised shooting of David Byrne in February 2016.
Byrne was fatally wounded when four men entered the hotel during a weigh-in for a boxing event and began firing. The Irish Sun has reported that since the attack, the hotel has seen many of its major bookings cancelled and has struggled to drum up business.
Despite the insurance payment received by the hotel following the shooting, it appears as though the Regency has fallen into receivership.
