Heading down to Electric Picnic this weekend? Drivers told to be aware of adverse weather conditions

Met Éireann is forecasting heavy rain, blustery winds, and cooler temperatures as the remnants of Hurricane Erin hit Ireland.

Drivers have been told to expect traffic delays, challenging driving conditions, and increased road risks.

To help drivers stay safe, Ian O’Reilly, Head of Personal Line Sales at Chill, has shared essential tips for navigating both the busy roads and the adverse weather conditions:

1. Plan ahead and use official routes

2. Leave early and expect delays

3. Consider public transport
