Donna Stringer remains in intensive care after a drive-by arson attack in which a firework was thrown at a care home from a moving car. The Lynwood Care Home in East London was home to Donna and six other residents. Donna, who uses a wheelchair and has learning difficulties, was in the home with two care-givers and the other residents when the fire broke out shortly after 1am. The attack occurred on Novemeber 13^th. Police report that other homes in the area were also targeted. Donna before the attack (photo Met Police)  Donna was rushed to hospital while 15 firemen worked to control the blaze. Police have released CCTV footage of the car to try find the suspects. Detective Karl Dines said “As you will see in the footage that we have released today, this was a deliberate act where fireworks were thrown at a number of homes. This is a deeply upsetting incident involving an innocent and helpless victim who has severe learning difficulties. Donna is fighting for her life in hospital. Medical staff are working tirelessly around the clock to keep her condition stable in the hope that she will recover. The fire has caused significant damage to the care home and devastated Donna's loving family. It is vital that anyone who has any information about this incident comes forward and shares what they know as soon as possible”.
