Three arrests were made this week.

The dad of the girl who was attacked at Howth Junction last month has said she is "fine considering." The 17-year-old girl was hit with a bike on April 1 by a group of teenagers and knocked between the train and the platform. CCTV footage shared widely on social media showed the girl falling between the DART and the platform during the attack, in which other teenagers appear to have been kicked and spat at. In the video, she can be seen walking along the platform when a youth lunges at her, while another thrusts the wheel of their bike causing her to fall between the platform and the train. She was pulled free from the tracks before the train started moving. Gardaí this week arrested three teenagers, two 16-year-olds and one 13-year-old in connection with the assault. According to reports, they were also questioned about other alleged public order offences in the Howth area, and have since been released without charge. The girl's dad has since said that he had heard about the arrests, but that he doesn't know what will happen next. He also added that his daughter is "OK now, she is still a bit upset about it." “I heard there were arrests, alright," he told the Irish Sun. "I don’t know what is going to come of it. All we can do is wait and see what happens.” He added that his daughter is "fine considering.” The three suspects were arrested on May 13 on suspicion of violent disorder under the Public Order Act, 1994. They were detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Clontarf, Raheny and Coolock Garda stations, and have since been released without charge.
