A woman in her 20s has been rushed to hospital following a cliff fall in Co. Clare.
According to reports, the young woman was airlifted to hospital following a climbing accident in North Clare.
She reportedly fell between 20 to 26 feet onto rocks below the Mirror Wall cliff face.
The woman's friends raised the alert and emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after 7.30 pm on Wednesday.
The National Ambulance Service attended the scene following the fall.
The Irish Coast Guard's Doolin unit and the Shannon search and rescue helicopter also assisted with the rescue.
Before emergency services arrived, the woman's friends were caring for her at the base of the cliff.
Rescue 115 then airlifted the young woman to hospital. She is currently being treated for lower back injuries at University Hospital Limerick, but her injuries are not believed to be serious.
