Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arrived in Dublin on Monday evening ahead of a short official visit which will see him meeting President Michael D. Higgins and Taoiseach Leo Varadkar on Tuesday. Trudeau will take part in a series of meetings on Tuesday and will attend a reception in Dublin Castle in the evening. He arrived in the capital on Monday accompanied by his wife Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau and their young son Hadrien.
