Two brothers have reportedly emerged as suspects in the Annie McCarrick murder case.
Gardaí have reportedly identified two brothers as suspects. They believe one of the men attacked the young American woman before she went missing in 1993.
Gardaí in Dublin reportedly identified the man as a suspect but are now investigating his brother.
A source told
The Irish Mirror, that both brothers are "being looked at".
One of the brothers has reportedly been accused of stalking and assaulting Annie.

What happened to Annie McCarrick?
Annie McCarrick was 26 years old when she disappeared. The student teacher, from New York, moved to Ireland in January 1993 after falling in love with the country during a previous visit.
Annie went missing back in March 1993. She was last seen at Allied Irish Bank, Sandymount Road on March 25th, 1993.
Gardaí launched a missing person's case after her friend reported her missing on March 28th. Her mother Nancy then confirmed the missing person report when she flew from New York to Ireland on March 30th, 1993.
Officers have not yet discovered what happened to Annie McCarrick but upgraded her case to a murder investigation in 2023.
Earlier this year, An Garda Síochána confirmed that the missing person investigation has been reclassified as a murder investigation.
Gardaí issue new public appeal in 2023
Detective Superintendent Carroll stated: "I want to speak to any person who met, spoke with, or had any interaction with
Annie McCarrick on the 26th March 1993 or subsequently."
Gardaí believe there are people out there that have information about Annie McCarrick.
"I am appealing to those persons, 30 years later, to please come forward and speak to the investigation team.”
"The primary focus of this investigation is the victim,
Annie McCarrick, and her family.
Annie’s father John has passed away not knowing what happened to his daughter.”
Gardaí stressed that her family, especially her mother, deserve to know what happened to their daughter. They have been waiting 30 years to find out what happened to Annie McCarrick.
