When or if you receive these images, I urge you to stop and think. Do not share. Delete and report.”The statement described Griffin as "... a daughter, auntie, sister, partner and beautiful person." The family asked for privacy during this difficult time and asked the media not to attend her funeral. This comes after Senator Lynn Ruane asked people to stop sharing images in the aftermath of the accident. On Twitter, she wrote: "My friend has lost his sister and the last thing his family need right now is an image of the accident. Thank you in advance." Gardaí also asked that the public refrain from sharing the footage out of respect for the families of the deceased and those involved in the collision.
