At a hearing in Los Angeles on Thursday, Mr.Spears attempted to regain control over her estate once again but failed in a bid for the right to delegate investment powers.
Britney Spears has sold over 100 million records worldwide but hasn't performed live since October 2018, her father has insisted that the conservatorship that's been in place for the last eleven years saved her from financial ruin. This latest news comes just days after a new documentary exploring Britney's rise to fame and treatment throughout her career was released by The New York Times.
Fans and celebrities alike have come out in support of the singer since the release of Framing Britney Spears with #FreeBritney trending on social media.
Another hearing regarding the conservatorship is set for 17 March.
