The Metropolitan Police have already confirmed that the area has been evacuated, and closed and sealed off. Some news publishers are reporting that 15-20 people were hit by "a van" during the incident. Further reports claim that a knife-attack also took place with others stating that they heard shots fired - although none of this can currently be independently verified.We are dealing with an incident on #LondonBridge, when we have more information we will update this twitter feed.

One eyewitness took to Twitter to state: "Horrific scene at London Bridge... bodies strewn over the pavement. B&Q van mounted the pavement. BBC reporter Holly Jones was on the bridge at the time of the incident. She said the van was driven by a man and was "probably travelling at about 50 miles an hour". She added: "I'd say there are about four severely injured people. They all have paramedics assisting them at the moment."
