The body of a woman in her 50s has been discovered inside of a car in Cork.
The woman's remains were found inside of the vehicle in Ballincollig todayafter Cork County Fire Services extinguished a fire.
The car was discovered on fire in a field off the R618 Inniscarra road just just 6.15pm.
Gardaí are treating the incident as a personal tragedy.
A postmortem was carried out earlier this evening determining that the body was a woman in her 50s. The woman's identity has yet to be determined.
Gardaí in Cork are appealing to anyone who travelled along the R618 Inniscarra road between 5.30pm and 6.15pm today, December 18.
