A body has been discovered following the search for a missing Galway man.
Gardaí called off the search for Robert Murray after a body was found earlier this week.
Fowl play is not suspected regarding the incident.
A statement reads:
"The missing person search for Robert Murray, 25 years, has been stood down following the discovery of a body at Renmore Beach, Co. Galway.
"Fowl play is not suspected in this incident. A file will be prepared for the Coroner. We would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance in this matter."
RTE reports that the body has been taken to University Hospital Galway. A postmortem will take place later today.
25-year-old Murray was reported missing last month. He had been last seen in the Shop Street area of Galway City on Tuesday, January 8.
