Met Éireann have already issued a status yellow wind warning for Ireland, valid until 6am on Friday morning.
While the wind will ease somewhat on Friday, there will be heavy rain and even snow in areas of higher ground on Friday night, with temperatures set to plummet to as low as -5 degrees on Saturday night.
Sunday isn’t going to be much better with rain and sleet showers, highest temperatures of five to seven degrees and frost set to develop on Sunday night.
Might be best not to venture outside at all this weekend.
