Calling all Electric Picnic fans… the weather is set to SOAR this weekend

Just as we thought it was safe.

This week has probably been the coldest it has been in a while. The rain and wind has returned and we've all gone back to cuddling up under blankets and whipped back out our jumpers. However, it seems we shouldn't get too excited to bring back out the autumn knits as the weather is set to be a scorcher this weekend. At the moment Met Éireann states that temperatures are around 6-9 degrees, however this weekend they're set to rocket back up to the 20s. By Friday, it will feel "rather warm and humid however with some sunny breaks occurring too. Highest temperatures 17 to 21 degrees Celsius, in mostly moderate southerly breezes. " While the rest of the weekend will be "rather warm and calm, with maxima in the high teens or low 20's locally. Overall a lot of dry weather is expected with light southerlies. "Saturday is likely to be the drier day with just the odd shower. Sunday will see a band of rain move into Atlantic counties but staying generally dry elsewhere at least for daylight hours." We're sure everyone going to Electric Picnic is rejoicing!
