98FM has confirmed Brian Dowling and Suzanne Kane's replacement, and it's safe to say that listeners are thrilled.
The radio station has confirmed that Leanne Hanafin will take over weekdays, 10 am–1 pm, from August 25th.
Bringing the biggest Dance and R&B anthems, fun guests, and amazing giveaways. Leanne has been part of 98FM since 2019, working across different shows on the schedule.
Speaking about the milestone moment, Leanne Hanafin said, "I am grateful for every opportunity I’ve had within 98FM and every person who has supported me and offered the most valuable words of advice in this industry."
"Now I’m ready for this new and exciting chapter, and I hope you’ll join me for it," Leanne added.
From Monday, September 1st, Andy Preston joins to present evenings 7–10 pm, Monday to Thursday, and Sundays 2–6 pm. Andy is well-known on Dublin radio for his engaging style and strong music knowledge.
Also launching on August 25th is a brand-new weekday on-street roving reporter role. Luke Thomas will be 98FM’s “guy about town”, bringing live city updates, local business visits, and the Best of Dublin to the airwaves.
Pat Gill, 98FM Managing Editor, said: “These changes bring fantastic talent to key slots across our schedule, ensuring Dublin listeners have a dynamic, entertaining, and music-filled experience every day. Leanne, Andy, and Luke join a brilliant team of on-air presenters, and we’re excited for them to get started.”
We cannot wait to tune into Leanne's show from August 25th.
