A 41-year-old man has been arrested after jumping a wall into a nursery school and attacking 11 children with a knife.
The shocking incident happened today in the city of Pingxiang, South-West China.
Chinese State Television reported that five children have serious injuries although none are believed to be life-threatening.
A statement from the Pingxiang city government's information office said the suspect “sneaked into” their school by scaling the wall of the school building.
Police rushed to the scene and immediately detained the man who's motives are still unknown.
China has had a rise in such incidents in recent years - In February a man stabbed 10 children outside the gates of a primary school in Haikou before killing himself.
