You’re out for a dinner and rather than having a chat or looking at the menu, all you’re thinking of is how long you have to wait before you can politely ask what the wifi code is.
Now this is just a guess but we don’t think your fellow diners will appreciate it.
Red Number Notifications
A godsend or a curse? It’s grand to share something and eagerly await notifications but this can get out of hand very quickly.
When you find yourself checking your phone for the tenth time in as many minutes, it’s time to PUT THE PHONE AWAY.
FOMO
Fear of missing out…Social media is a divil for leading you to believe that everyone else is out having the craic while you’re stuck at home.
Chances are their night isn’t so great either but photos, tweets, check-ins and statuses tend to tell a different story.
Poser Central
When your head is pounding, your tongue has the consistency of sandpaper and you’re in bad need of a fry-up… the last thing you want to see is evidence of last night’s antics plastered all over Facebook.
However, you can bet that someone will have decided to post all of the incriminating photos...fun times.
Phone Obsessed
If your phone goes everywhere with you, (some people have even been known to bring it to the bathroom) then you have a bad case of social media-itis.
Checking it constantly is the first sign of this. Sounding familiar? Yep, us too.
Food Porn
This may not apply to everyone but mouth-watering food photos appear on Twitter and Instagram, on a regular basis.
If your first thought is to photograph your food rather than eat it, this pretty much says it all.
Put It Away
“Would you ever put that phone away?!” says your Mam/Dad/sister/brother (for the one hundredth time).
Like us you’re probably sick to the back teeth of hearing this particular phrase. Although it pains us to admit this, they may have a point.Explore more on these topics:
