The folks over at Netflix have done some research on how the popular streaming site has impacted on relationships. In terms of dating profiles, over half the people surveyed have added TV shows or specific movie genres to their profile to attract potential suitors. More than two-thirds admit that movies and TV shows are the top two icebreakers for a first date. It seems that show compatibility is very important when choosing the right partner, with men significantly more likely to fall for someone based on similar tastes in shows and movies. We've heard of beer goggles, now there's 'showgoggles', with a quarter of people admitting they've found someone more attractive based on the shows they watch. via GIPHY The big test for how stable a relationship is whether or not you share a Netflix account. Apparently it's a very big step towards a 'serious' relationship. More than half say they wait until they are dating exclusively, while almost a fifth of people admitted to waiting until they're engaged or officially married before sharing an account.
