Sorry True Blood fans but the hit show will not return after the end of the next series.
HBO revealed this week that the seventh season, due to air next summer (2014), will be the last.
The television series about vampires will finish after the seventh series.
Over the last six years True Blood has enjoyed a huge following and created a number of stars including Alexander Skarsgard, Stephen Moyer and the award-winning Anna Paquin.
Based on a series of novels by Charlaine Harris the show is based in a world where vampires, humans and other supernatural beings co-exist.
Actress Anna Paquin has led the show since the beginning.
Speaking about the show, HBO President Michael Lombardo said: “True Blood has been nothing short of a defining show for HBO.”
He added: “Together with its legions of fans, it will be hard to say goodbye to the residents of Bon Temps, but I look forward to what promises to be a fantastic final chapter of this incredible show.”
