The forecast for the weekend is promising; not so much for next week.
Christmas shoppers will be glad to know that they won’t have much need for an umbrella this weekend, with dry weather forecast for most of Saturday and Sunday.
According to Met Éireann, after a cold Friday night when temperatures will drop to as low as -3 in places, Saturday will be mostly dry and not too cold either, with temperatures ranging from 3 to 10 degrees.
Rain will fall in parts of Connacht and Ulster on Saturday night, but Sunday is again expected to be a cool and dry day, with plenty of sunny spells and temperatures reaching highs of 10 degrees.
Beyond the weekend, unsettled conditions have been forecast for the middle of next week after a bright and sunny start on Monday and Tuesday, with very wet and very windy spells promised as well as cold spells and wintry showers.
Best make the most of the good weather while it lasts.
