"Back in 1965, there were not too many outdoor lighting displays for Christmas."
Great grandfather, Paddy Price is bringing light to his town of Prosperous in Co Kildare. In fact, he has done so for over 50 years by creating a lights display that matches no other in his own garden.
Creating all the decorative lighting himself, Paddy spends hours in his tool shed welding odd bits of leftover metal and making beautiful stars, angels and structures of all shapes and sizes. He also has a beautiful handmade and fully furnished wooden house, a Christmas village and even a life-size Santa’s Sleigh.
His magical garden of festive lights has gained so much attention that people now travel far and wide to visit his home and he has gained the nickname "Paddy Christmas".
This video is just so wholesome, it's the Christmas content we need more of.
Paddy is the first person Solus has looked at for their new story series highlighting ordinary people that do extraordinary things. Solus is an Irish light bulb company and their latest video series is called "Solus shines a spotlight on local heroes".
