Confession time.
When I was younger I used to be one of those really annoying stage kids.
I’d beg my mum to put me into any drama, dance or singing class around.
Then I was put on stage to sing a solo and got stage fright.
You could’ve heard a pin drop… until the room was flooded with my sobs.
(Don’t worry, I’m totally over my childhood melodrama.)
So when one Australian kid got the hiccups on national TV, you could totally understand if he had stopped singing.
Ethan Hall was taking centre stage before the Adelaide Bite took on the Brisbane Bandits over the weekend, but his performance caught public attention for a completely different reason.
There was a microphone, thousands of people watching him, and a case of involuntary hiccups escaping from his mouth.
But the little trooper that he is, Ethan kept going – and his efforts were well received by both the players and the crowd.
We love the players’ reactions.
Somehow, we think Ethan still managed to nail this performance – even if it didn’t turn out exactly as planned.
