37-year-old Pamela Rauseo was taking care of her 5-month-old nephew when he took ill while travelling in a car along the Dolphin Expressway in Miami.
Panicking, Rauseo quickly stopped her vehicle after noticing little Sebastian de la Cruz wasn't breathing and was turning blue.
The aunt frantically alerted passersby that she was in need of help and performed CPR on the infant.
Al Diaz, a Pulitzer prize-winning photographer, was travelling a few cars behind Rauseo and managed to capture the scene with a several remarkable images.
The photographer then alerted a police officer, who also happened to be driving behind, who then took over and stabilised the baby's condition until professional medical help arrived.
