Talk about making a dummy out of someone…
If you’re one of those people who lives in fear of getting pulled on stage every time you’re at a comedy gig – look away now.
This hilarious clip is the work of talented comedian and ventriloquist Nina Conti. Conti took to the stage at the Apollo Theatre in Hammersmith for a taping of a ‘Live at the Apollo’ TV special, hosted by our own Dara O’Briain, and made the whole act all about two audience members.
Eschewing her traditional puppets in favour of one female and one male audience member, Conti had the audience in stitches as she acted out their courtship.
The show was originally aired in November 2012, but was repeated over the Bank Holiday Weekend and this clip was uploaded to YouTube two weeks ago, where it’s since been viewed over 70,000 times.
Her.ie reader Mary Claire sent us the link to the video after it cracked her up, and we got quite the laugh out of it in Her.ie towers today too. If you’re spotted something funny, cute or inspiring you think we should know about – drop us a line! You’ll get us on hello@her.ie
