It took us a couple of series to really get into it but by the time we reached Season Three of Parks and Recreation, we knew we were on to a winner. Two words. Ron Swanson. We have learned so much from Parks and Rec, not just about American politics but the important things in life like food, alcohol and relationships. Here are eleven things we learned from Parks and Recreation.
1. Turkey is not cow.
And turkey can never beat cow. That's from the legend that is Ron Swanson.
2. You can still achieve things by doing the least amount of work possible.
Look at April. PROMOTED!
3. Alcohol can help.
Occasionally. Not all the time but, occasionally.
4. Sometimes, you just can't deny feelings.
You can try for a really long time but if it's there, it's there.
5. Fitness isn't always fun.
In fact, some might say it's not fun at all.
6. If you're going to do something bad, do it right.
Don't make a half-assed effort at it!
7. You don't have to be positive all the time.
It's ok to have bad days. Not like Chris...
8. Never mess with a woman on a mission.
Especially if that woman is Leslie Knope.
9. Believe in yourself.
Even if you believe you are a wizard, that's fine too...
10. Always do your best.
Always.
11. LIVE YOUR LIFE!
Dance like no one is watching!
