It’s that time of year again, the annual scramble to try and get something decent for your dad, which usually ends with you handing over another pair of unwanted socks. But this year you can get him something he’ll actually appreciate and spend some quality time together as well…bonus! Guinness Storehouse Presents the Ultimate Father’s Day is a series of exclusive events that offer unprecedented access behind the gates of St James’s Gate Brewery on Sunday, 18 June. A Guinness Storehouse Beer Specialist will take you behind the scenes to Brewhouse 4, where all the brewing magic happens. Next, you’ll visit The Guinness Open Gate Brewery, and get to taste some of the experimental beers that haven’t even been released. This is where the like of Hop House 13 and Guinness Dublin Porter were first developed. You’ll also get a tour of the Guinness Storehouse, followed by a perfect pint and a fantastic view of Dublin city from the Gravity Bar. Finally, you’ll be treated to a delicious lunch in the 1837 Bar & Brasserie and your dedicated Beer Specialist (and probable new best friend!) will walk you through the Guinness and food pairings on offer. If this day of activities doesn’t earn you the title of “favourite child,” we don’t know what will. Tickets for Guinness Storehouse Presents the Ultimate Father’s Day are priced at €60. There’s limited availability so book early if you want to avoid disappointment. There are only four time slots available on the day - 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
