The Cork town of Kinsale has been listed by a luxury travel magazine as one of the best places in Europe to retire, and it's easy to see why. That's right, Travel & Leisure's Patricia Doherty included Kinsale as one of the destinations on her list, which evaluated locations across a number of different criteria. Doherty considered several factors in compiling her list, including cost of living, environment and lifestyle. She also took retirement logistics into consideration. Furthermore, Doherty refers to Old Head as "one of the country's most beautiful golf courses." The fact that the local language is English also makes it particularly attractive to American retirees. Moreover, the article speaks highly of the excellent array of culinary options on offer in this Cork town: "Foodies will appreciate the restaurants, fresh seafood, and perhaps even cooking classes at the Kinsale Gourmet Academy."
