It's true, we're a lucky bunch who needn't travel far to have an absolute ball.

With an endless amount to do, right on our doorstep, we might not know where to start. To help out, here are five amazing places in Northern Ireland that are entirely worth visiting. Pyke N' Pommes, Derry By the River Foyle you’ll find a food truck - not just any food truck, but a delightful converted shipping container that serves the most delicious locally sourced, authentic street grub. Expect all kinds of yummy tacos, fish cakes, Baja-style cauliflower, grilled veg and oodles more. All their dishes are made from scratch too. Keep an eye on their social platforms also - they host alternative festivals and pop-ups regularly. Brickwork, Derry Within the Walled City is the famous Brickwork - the ideal spot if you're on the hunt for feel-good vibes, a little tipple and scrumptious food among the locals for both lunch and dinner. (Check out their early bird option too.) With innovative twists on dishes like the Wild Mushroom Risotto, Thai Green Vegetable Curry, Grilled Steak Sandwich and more, it's guaranteed tastiness for all. Plus, their menu caters to veggies and vegans too. Located on Castle Street, it's right in the heart of the city, so it's ideal for dinner after a spot of shopping or simply being a tourist at home. Lough Navar Forest Walk, Fermanagh Within the Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark is the little hidden gem that is Lough Navar Forest - home to an ancient Crannog, limestone grasslands, bog, heath, cliff hikes and lakeside walks and views of Donegal and the Sperrin Mountains. Give yourself a few hours here so you've plenty of time to complete one of the many walking loops and take it all in. Remember to check the weather and what time to expect sunrise or sunset - either will make for spectacular viewing. Bubble Domes, Finn Lough It's not everywhere you'd find Bubble Domes quite like these, so we're a lucky lot to have them. Domes are separated by trees and woodland and each one is accessed by a door through timber fenced panels. From here, you can open the door of your dome and enter a little bubble of luxury. You'll find a few complimentary nibbles and a polaroid camera for you to bring oodles of precious pictures of you and your guest home. It's also magical to lie in bed under the stars. We forget how much we miss out on with our bright city lights. So this is an experience that'll bring you back to Earth and feel a sense of awe at the vastness of it all. You'll love! The Element Trail at Finn Lough Nestled in the wooded grounds of Finn Lough, you'll soon realise where the two-hour experience gets it's name. It requires a little mosey outside (warm robes and slippers are provided), hopping into an epsom salt bath (the lack of gravity brings a sense of calm), a Finnish sauna (see if you can manage the cool-down in the lake), the herbal sauna that helps increase blood flow (the heather, rosemary and birch make for a glorious aroma too), a jacuzzi that helps relax muscles further and finally, the relaxation room where you can rehydrate, read a book and find a few yummy nibbles. With just two people being able to begin the trail every 30 minutes, it helps make for the ultimate relaxing experience. I went here at the beginning of February and honestly, my only regret is not bringing my camera along to capture how beautiful the sunset was.
