Summer fever is taking over the Her office at the moment. All we can think about is days spent lounging by a pool, weekend city breaks and adventure holidays in far-flung places. Which is why we got just a little bit very excited when we heard about Premier TEFL's amazing opportunities to travel Europe from as little as £15. In the meantime, we have rounded up the most overrated tourist attractions in each of our favourite cities and given you the better alternatives that you should visit. Just in case you do decide to take the plunge and go working abroad this year (we highly recommend it). Happy planning!   Avoid: The Eiffel Tower Enjoy: Montparnasse Tower The Eiffel Tower might be one of Paris' most iconic landmarks but if you want to make the most of your time in the 'City of Love' then don't bother going up it. Get some pictures at the bottom and then head over to Montparnasse Tower. The tower was at one time the tallest skyscraper in France and at the top, you get unparalleled 360-degree views of the city. Try to go up the tower just before sunset and you'll be able to watch night fall over Paris. The view of the Eiffel Tower at the top is unbelievable. Avoid: The Leaning Tower of Pisa Enjoy: Medieval towers of San Gimignano While watching tourists posing with the Leaning Tower of Pisa is quite entertaining, the trip to visit this monument really isn't worth it. So, why not visit the small walled medieval hill town of San Gimignano in the province of Siena instead? The little town is a fabulous place to spend the day and it is even a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Avoid: London Eye Enjoy: Sky Garden Are you planning a weekend trip to London in 2017? Do yourself a favour and skip the London Eye. You will only spend all day queueing and once your trip around the wheel is over you will have no choice but to get off (plus it's hella expensive). What you should do is head to the Sky Garden instead. It's got some of the best views London has to offer, lots of places to eat and hang out, no time limit, and best of all it's free. Avoid: La Sagrada Familia Enjoy: La Catedral de Barcelona (Cathedral of Barcelona) Okay, okay, before you get all up in arms, we know that La Sagrada Familia is an architectural marvel and a symbol of the city yadda yadda yadda, but it is slightly over-rated. The area around La Sagrada Familia is very crowded, the entry prices are expensive and the queues are long. La Catedral de Barcelona, on the other hand, dates back as far as 599 AD (possibly longer) and is free to enter. We know which one we would choose.

Avoid: Reichstag, Berlin Enjoy: Panoramapunkt Most people just go to the Reichstag for the great views from the glass dome on top of the building (never mind all that amazing history). What a lot of people don't realise however is that the view is just as good from the Panoramapunkt building which is just a short walk away.
