Footage emerged recently of an incident on Dublin's Parnell Street where two members of the public and a bouncer became embroiled in a conflict.
The footage shows the bouncer from the Woolshed pub fending off the men as they repeatedly attempt to punch and kick him.
Matt Hudson, manager of The Woolshed, was unable to comment as he revealed that a Garda investigation has been opened.
A spokesperson for the Garda Press Office said: "Gardai are aware of this incident and would encourage the public to report any such incidents to their local Garda station."
