If you’re looking for love online, chances are you’re a firm fan of Tinder.
Sure there can be some driftwood of the dating scene threatening your social calendar, but you could also match with your perfect fit.
The problem with Tinder is sometimes you don’t know what to say.
Or the small talk is going to kill you.
Your day was fine, thank you. You’re eating your dinner. You went to that local school. Yes, you work in this career. Now you’re silently waiting for you to request a date.
You get the picture.
So now Tinder have decided that if a picture can speak a thousand words, a gif must be an essay.
The dating app wants you to take a leap of faith and send the gif you think might win your match over in the latest update to their service.
Maybe you’ll both like the same Friends joke you’ve watched on a re-run every night since the early noughties?
Perhaps you’re charm offensive includes swaying your potential date with a fluffy puppy or making them laugh over Keyboard Cat?
We won’t judge.
Either way, it should help take the pressure off those initial opening conversations… and maybe even let your true love blossom.
