A video has gone viral today which shows a great white shark getting stuck in a shark cage while there is a diver in it. The video, shot off the coast of California, is absolutely terrifying.
The shark was attracted over to the boat when bait was lowered into the water. It was hurtling towards the cage in a bid to get the bait and because it was swimming so fast it ended up crashing into the cage, breaking one of the bars and entering where the diver was.
The shark then starts to panic and begins thrashing about, and so do the people on the boat who can't help the diver who is also in the cage.
After a few moments they manage to lift the top of the cage and the shark jumps out. Luckily the diver also manages to get out of the cage and looks unharmed.
This will make you never want to go cage diving for sharks.
