59-year-old Susan Shields missed her town's sprinkling as she was battling cancer. She asked if another one could be organised and so the town of Ames in Iowa held another event.
Shields attended the second sprinkling event holding a sign which read "life is good."
She died shortly after, according to Laura but the project continues to spread her message and "life is good" is a permanent sign at every meeting.
