Weddings bring people together to celebrate love, but can undeniably also be a source of massive stress, especially for the members of the main bridal party.
There are tonnes of horror stories going around, but this one spotted by Yahoo7 is actually too much.
A woman wrote that she was asked to be a bridesmaid at a close friend's wedding.
So far, so nice. Then her friend, whom she called Ella told her she had to 'dye her hair for the day'.
Sorry, what?
The bridesmaid went on,
“This had never been mentioned to me. I’m a natural ginger, so it’s not like I have an outrageous hair color. although Ella and her other bridesmaids are all brunettes.”
Apparently, the bride “also mentioned my hair is quite ‘attention-grabbing’ and I’d take away from the cohesiveness of the group.”
She asked fellow commenters if she was in fact the one in the wrong:
“Am I being reasonable here? I’ve never been involved in a wedding before so I’m not quite sure what’s expected of me. I’ve gotten some messages from the other bridesmaids who are telling me I should just do it.”
The answer, a resounding no.
“Is this a joke? Heck no. Especially going from red to brown; you might not ever get your natural color back."
A bit much.
