And not just on our birthdays. Some of the best surprises come at the most random times.Whether it's breakfast in bed or a simple cup of tea, there is something really nice about getting an unexpected gift or kind gesture.
So we can only imagine how these families felt when they got this lovely surprise last weekend.
Residents of Deansgrange, Co. Dublin, and Loughrea, Co. Galway were shocked to wake up to see a bakery on wheels had set up outside their homes.
Yes, an actual bakery!
The mobile baking extravaganza had been set up by SuperValu to surprise the residents and add a bit of joy to their morning.
As well as handing out warm croissants and bread from the truck the team then went door to door delivering baskets of lovely freshly made bread to the unsuspecting residents.
Needless to say, they were absolutely delighted that a delicious breakfast had literally fallen into their lap. You can watch their reactions in the video below.
Imagine having a bakery brought right to your door? Sounds pretty good to us. Now if Supervalu could just come to our office tomorrow morning that would be perfect.
