Petrol station deli counters have been providing nutrition for the people of Ireland for years now and there’s no more popular food in said deli counters than the puff pastry filled with ham and cheese known as the jambon.
OK, maybe the chicken fillet roll is more popular. And the breakfast roll. And a lot of people are partial to portions of wedges. But jambons are certainly big sellers too.
The jumbo equivalent of the breakfast roll was the subject of a song by Pat Shortt a few years back and now, thanks to Fupen Eejits, the jambon has one too. About time.
Set to the tune of Bob Marley’s famous hit, Jammin’, the lyrics will no doubt strike a chord with the many of you who share the lads’ affection for the perfect hangover dish.
