With every day that passes the cast of EastEnders is getting smaller and smaller, and now show bosses have added to the growing list of upcoming departures.

According to reports this morning Kirsty Branning (Kierston Wareing), AJ Ahmed (Phaldut Sharma), Carl White (Daniel Coonan) and Poppy Meadow (Rachel Bright) are all headed for the door.

 

Kirsty and Carl are among the characters who are leaving the soap.

A spokesperson told Digital Spy: “We can confirm these actors will be leaving EastEnders. We wish them all the best.”

The four stars will be waving goodbye to Albert Square and the Queen Vic around New Year which is always the time at which the soaps unleash their most dramatic storylines.

Alice and Michael are two more people who will be waving goodbye. 

The decision comes under new boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins who is said to be eager to get the soap back to its best and increase ratings.

But while he has been cutting characters he is also adding a few, namely Bianca’s new love interest Terry Spraggan (Terry Alderton) and Shirley Carter’s sister Tina (Luisa Bradshaw-White).
